Bao Zhong is the most lightly oxidised of Oolong teas (10%-15% only). Almost resembling a green tea but has a more pronounced fragrance and deeper taste than green tea. This hand-picked tea is strip- or twist-shaped by light rolling and drying.
The original name of this style of tea, literally “the wrapped kind” refers to the traditional practice of wrapping the tea leaves in paper during the drying process. This has largely been discontinued due to advancement of processing techniques.
